please port the "XFE" filemanager to ede. it is based
on fox-toolkit.org and it is Licensed under GNU GPL it
is very functional and beats MS Explorer and other so
called
filemanagers easily.

I strongly believe porting xfe to ede will make ede a
fully functional desktop, since filemanager is the most
important application required by any desktop environment.

actually, there is no problem. You can install xfe easily
and make a shortcut on your desktop.

at previous comment: Yes, install is easy. But if the xfe manager was included in ede Ede will be a good desktop environment. Now you say to end user: install ede, install xfe, something else ... for a complete desktop. It isn't pretty!
